Celebrate Service Week 2014

We celebrate Service! First weeks of June are very important for all IHG employees in over 4,700 hotels all over the world. This is the time of the year when we change our roles to understand the work of each other, and honor our employees. We celebrate service during one week and we say to all our staff "You've Been Great!"

At Holiday Inn Almaty we celebrated service on the week of June 9-13, 2014. During this week our managers and heads of departments tried working in other departments and served the staff.

On Wednesday, June 11 we all had a nice lunch in the Aport Ballroom, with Heads of Departments and Managers serving food to all staff. We started with Caesar salad and Okroshka soup (traditional Russian soup), then we had manti for entrée (traditional dumplings with beef and pumpkin), and of course delicious desserts.

Great Employees are Awarded!

Best employees are awarded! Chingiz Ussanov, Cost Controller in Finance Department at Holiday Inn Almaty was selected an employee of the month in 2013, and then Employee of the Year 2013. At the Year End Corporate Party Chingiz was awarded with a trip to Malaysia and voila, a short trip report. 

Chingiz had a great chance to visit Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, and Singapore, he stayed in IHG hotels and had a great time. Isn't it amazing to get experience staying in hotels of the hotel chain that you work for?

We would like to thank you again for your hard work, Chingiz, and wish you further achievements in the future. You've been Great!
